On March 9, 2020, FWA joined the world to celebrate the Women’s International Day. In the area of women’s socio-economic empowerment, at the end of February 2020, FWA had a total of 78 self-help groups for a total of 1788 women. Members of the SHGs saved some money together to rejoice together for the step already achieved. Firstly, there was a gathering at Ntaseka Clinic, secondly, a parade led by the women themselves and thirdly there was a reception where all the women ate, drank together and danced after FWA national coordinator speech and some testimonies.
