This program sensitizes both men and women in family planning to reduce overpopulation and improve family wellbeing. With an average of 5.3 babies per woman in Burundi, family planning is essential to prevent conflict and malnutrition.
Our 6 community health workers conduct weekly gatherings and house-to-house education on birth control and reproductive health. We've seen consultations increase from 120 to 600 per month since 2017.

While RSS focuses on GBV case management, AGBV focuses on community mobilization to prevent gender-based violence before it occurs.
Starting in 2014 with Evangelical Friends Church leaders, we've expanded to work with local administration and community-elected leaders to create a network against GBV. We recognize that GBV is present even in religious communities and work to address it at all levels.
